Community Outreach

The goal of the TFBC Outreach Ministry is to prayerfully reach the lost and hurting in our community with the Gospel of Jesus.  We also strive to extend a warm welcome and connect with the de-churched and searching Christians in the valley!

UPCOMING EVENTS!

We are excited to invite you to our first "Community Connection" event September 20, 2026, from 4-6 pm.  We will be grilling and serving hamburgers to the Meadow Heights neighborhood, including making deliveries to homes.  We believe this will be an amazing opportunity to connect with our community, pray with individuals and families, and minister to their needs.  For more information, see a TFBC Outreach Team Member:  Mimi Blemmel, Marlene Carver, and Nina Morgan, or Brother Justin.

ONGOING OUTREACH ACTIVITIES

CarePortal

CarePortal exists to connect local churches with vetted needs of vulnerable children and families. As church members provide for these needs, they get the opportunity to pray and minister to these families, while potentially developing ongoing meaningful relationships.  TFBC is a strong supporter of CarePortal, and has helped respond to over 60 requests, impacting 100+ children.  Check out our church’s CarePortal Page for more information or to contribute to the TFBC CarePortal fund.

Baptist Collegiate Ministries

Our church is a proud supporter of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) Meal Ministry at two local colleges, Carl Albert State College, Poteau and Eastern Oklahoma State College, Wilburton.
We periodically provide free meals to college students during their local BCM “noon meal” devotion time, which aims to foster community among students, provide Biblical teaching, and share the gospel with the lost.  We are always looking for people to help us serve these meals and connect with students and BCM staff!

youth alive

Youth Alive strives to connect local churches with area schools by providing opportunities for students to come together with other believers, gain Bible knowledge, and invite their friends to learn more about Jesus.  Our church periodically provides noon meals and a short devotion at Talihina Schools.  Join us for this fun, low-key way to connect with students and school staff!
